Gabba Gallery presents Let the Cats Out, a virtual solo exhibition by Jules Muck. Curated by Jason Ostro and Elena Jacobson, the show will be available for online viewing at GabbaGallery.com beginning Thursday, September 17 at 11am PT (2pm ET).

Jules Muck’s Let the Cats Out, will make you laugh and it might make you squirm a little too—and that’s just fine by Muck. As a prolific street artist based in Venice, California, Muck has earned a loyal following and sparked plenty of controversy with her playfully irreverent murals. She channels that same edgy energy into this latest collection of paintings on canvas.

Muck reimagines pop culture icons in hilariously unexpected ways. “Darth Lennon” depicts John Lennon casually smoking while wearing his iconic New York City t-shirt and a Darth Vader helmet. Muck celebrates Ruth Bader Ginsburg with “RBG 4 EVA” in which the Supreme Court justice rocks a face covered with tattoos. “LA Nights” shows Kermit and Animal going for a joy ride in KITT, the car from Knight Rider. In “Kisstens,” four fluffy white kittens pay tribute to 80s rock band Kiss, sporting the band’s signature black and white makeup. The fun continues with Big Bird, Miss Piggy, Yoda, a donut-loving unicorn and much more.

In these stressful times, Muck’s cheeky sense of humor provides the perfect escape. Let loose with Let the Cats Out.

In conjunction with the show, Gabba Gallery will be releasing a series of Muck’s limited edition fine art prints.
